Cozy Season

Fall is officially here, and I’m embracing all things cozy while manifesting cooler weather. This week’s edit is a mix of my favorite fall finds, from local farmers markets and healthy seasonal snacks to cozy weighted blankets, and simple ways to slow down and enjoy the season.

  1. Seasonal Produce Guide

Use this guide to see what’s in season right now in your local area. I also share a monthly Seasonal Produce Guide on my Instagram for more inspiration.

Eating with the seasons is one of the best ways to enjoy fresh, flavorful produce. Locally grown, seasonal fruits and vegetables are often more abundant and affordable, making it an easy way to enjoy what nature has to offer while supporting local farmers.

  2. NEW Upper West Market in Atlanta

Upper West Market is finally open in Atlanta! Located on Collier Road in West Midtown, this year-round indoor farmers market brings together local Georgia farmers, producers and small businesses. With 35 vendor stalls across 9,000 square feet, it’s a new spot to shop fresh produce and other locally made goods.

Location: 1385 Collier Road NW, Atlanta.

    Hours: Sun–Fri, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Sat, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.

  3. 10 Farmer's Markets to Shop in the Atlanta Area

One of my favorite ways to shop for seasonal produce is by supporting local farmers and small businesses. If you’re in Atlanta, I’ve put together a list of 10 farmers markets to check out. If you're elsewhere, search for a local farmers market or farmers market delivery service in your own community.

  4. Fresh Harvest Delivery

Local, seasonal produce delivered straight to your doorstep. I’ve featured Fresh Harvest several times, and it continues to be one of my favorite ways to enjoy farm-fresh food while supporting local farmers and businesses.

I order their Georgia Grown Medium Box, which includes a rotating selection of seasonal produce. You can customize your box each week by swapping items or adding groceries, and easily skip a delivery when you’re traveling or don’t plan to cook. It’s such a convenient way to eat seasonally and support local agriculture.

  5. Nopalera Todos Santos Candle

I’m not big on super-sweet fall scents like pumpkin spice or vanilla. I prefer something more woodsy, earthy and warm, which is why I’ll be burning Nopalera’s Todos Santos all fall.

I’ve featured it before, but it’s especially good this time of year. It combines eucalyptus and mint with warmer notes of cardamom, vanilla, palo santo, sandalwood and patchouli. It’s made with a coco-soy wax blend, an organic cotton wick and is paraffin- and phthalate-free.

When shopping for candles, I look for beeswax, coconut wax or soy wax without added paraffin, along with transparent fragrance ingredients and lead-free wicks.

  6. Primally Pure Palo Santo Sticks

I’m obsessed with these Palo Santo sticks from Primally Pure. They’re made with regeneratively sourced, wild-harvested wood and have a naturally warm, woodsy aroma with hints of citrus and cedar.

They make my whole house smell amazing. I love burning one after cleaning, when I want to make the house feel cozy, or want to create a calming atmosphere at night. Just light the end, let it burn briefly, blow out the flame and place it in a fire-safe dish to enjoy the aroma.

  7. Bearaby Cotton Napper Weighted Blanket

This blanket gives all the fall cozy vibes. There’s nothing better than curling up under a weighted blanket in a cool bedroom. Wellhaus Club has them in their IV lounge, and I loved how calming and grounding theirs felt, so naturally I did a deep dive to find the perfect one for our bedroom.

Weighted blankets use gentle, even pressure, which may help promote relaxation and reduce feelings of anxiety. I wanted something that looked elevated, felt luxurious and was made with natural materials.

We used to love our Lola blanket, but after learning more about microplastic shedding from synthetic textiles, I wanted a natural alternative, especially for something I sleep under every night.

This Bearaby Cotton Napper is incredible. It’s made entirely from organic cotton, without synthetic filling or plastic beads. I got the 15 lb, and it’s perfect in our bedroom.

  8. Bearaby Kids Nappling Weighted Blanket

I also bought the kids’ version for my 5-year-old son. It’s just as cozy and made with breathable organic cotton. The gentle, even pressure can feel calming and comforting at bedtime. It comes in 5 lb and 7 lb options designed specifically for children. Be sure to follow Bearaby’s age and weight guidelines to choose the right blanket for your child and make sure they can safely remove it on their own.

  9. Kroma 24K Chicken Bone Broth Powder, 7 Pack

Use code JESSBEWELL15 for 15% off Kroma.

As the weather cools down, I start craving warm, savory things. Kroma’s 24K Bone Broth is an easy one to keep on hand, especially when traveling. All you need is hot water, making it a convenient afternoon snack or something to sip on a flight. I'm about to travel overseas this weekend and will be taking Kroma packets in my purse with me for the flight. This broth is made with organic chicken bone broth, ginger and turmeric, with 12g of protein per serving. I love sipping it on its own or using it as a base for a quick soup with veggies and extra protein.

  10. Paleo Valley Superfood Bar, Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice

Paleovalley just launched a limited-edition Pumpkin Spice flavor of its Superfood Bar, and it’s perfect for fall. Each bar has 10g of protein from grass-fed and grass-finished bone broth, 12–13g of fiber and no added sugar or sugar alcohols. They’re also made with 8+ certified organic superfoods and are gluten-free, grain-free, soy-free and dairy-free.

I love having a seasonal snack like this on hand when I want something sweet and satisfying. It’s easy to throw in your purse for busy days or when you need a little protein between meals.

  11. Sava Nutrition Pumpkin Spice Protein Powder

Pumpkin spice season calls for a good protein powder. SAVA, one of my favorite brands for clean, bone-broth-based protein powder, just released this Pumpkin Spice, a seasonal option to use in fall smoothies, protein balls and other recipes when you want something a little different from your usual vanilla or chocolate.

I especially like the idea of using it in my grain-free pumpkin protein balls below for an extra boost of pumpkin spice flavor.

  12. Grain-Free Pumpkin Protein Balls

These no-cook pumpkin protein balls are an easy fall snack to prep ahead. Made with pumpkin purée, almond flour, nut butter and protein powder, they have a soft, cookie-dough-like texture without oats or grains and won’t spike your blood sugar.

    Ingredients:

    ½ cup pumpkin purée

½ cup almond, Nuttzo or cashew butter

    1 cup almond flour

½ cup vanilla protein powder (or pumpkin spice)

    2 tbsp ground flaxseed

    1 tbsp chia seed

    1 tbsp maple syrup

    1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

    ½ tsp cinnamon

    Pinch of sea salt

Optional: 2 tbsp mini dark chocolate chips

    Directions:

    1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl until a thick, cookie-dough-like consistency forms.

    2. If the mixture is too wet, add almond flour or protein powder, one tablespoon at a time.

    3. Roll into balls. If the mixture feels to sticky to roll, refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to firm it up, then roll into balls.

    4. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

  13. Blueberry Carrot Zucchini Muffins

We love these nutritious muffins, and they’re one of my favorite things to batch ahead for quick school-day breakfasts, snacks or lunchboxes. They stay moist enough to reheat without drying out. When fresh blueberries are out of season, frozen wild blueberries are a great alternative. Makes about 12 muffins.

    Ingredients:

    2 cups almond flour

1½ cups grated zucchini, squeezed very dry

1 cup grated carrot, squeezed very dry

    1 cup blueberries

    3 eggs

    ¼ cup coconut oil, melted

    2 Tbsp honey

    ½ cup unsweetened almond milk

    1 tsp vanilla extract

    1–1½ tsp cinnamon

    2 tsp baking powder

    ½ tsp baking soda

    ½ tsp sea salt

    Directions:

Mix wet ingredients, then stir into dry ingredients. Fold in zucchini, carrots and blueberries.

Divide into 12 muffin cups and bake at 350°F for 28–30 minutes, until set and a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing.

Store in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
