Navigating the wellness industry can feel overwhelming and time-consuming. I created Jess Be Well to make your journey toward living well feel easier —no matter where you’re starting from.
Every week, I’ll share The Well List, a curated roundup of my favorite wellness finds delivered straight to your inbox so you can feel confident in the choices you’re making for yourself and your family. No perfection. No extremes. Just real-life wellness that lasts.
It doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. Wellness is about balance and progress over perfection: choosing healthy most of the time, staying consistent where you can, and leaving room for flexibility and fun. It starts with small, intentional shifts— a new habit, a healthier swap, or a few nourishing options each week—not a complete overhaul.
Our journeys are unique; there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to wellness. What works for me may not work for you. Listen to your body and trust your intuition. Jess Be Well is here to support and inspire you every step of the way!
Live well. Be well.
JESS’S JOURNEY
My wellness journey began in 2005, when I was 18 years old and struggling with chronic digestive issues. After countless GI appointments, diagnoses, medications, and procedures—with little to no relief—I felt frustrated, discouraged, and disconnected from my body. Desperate to feel better, I turned to extreme elimination diets and cleanses that left me depleted, anxious, and depressed. Everything shifted when a doctor introduced me to the gut-brain connection and the role nervous system regulation plays in healing. He encouraged me to try yoga—a true turning point on my journey.
After college, I moved to New York City for a job in the music industry and began a deep dive into my yoga practice at a studio near my office. Through yoga, I discovered the power of the mind-body connection and learned how to truly listen to my body. I stopped searching for answers outside myself and began tuning in—sparking a deeply transformative self-healing journey. I soon became a certified yoga instructor and began working at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I also became a Certified Health Coach and embraced a holistic approach to wellness. As I applied what I was learning to my own life, my symptoms slowly faded—and my passion for helping others grew.
In 2015, I returned to my hometown of Atlanta to open a boutique fitness and lifestyle studio rooted in holistic fitness. Teaching and building that community remains one of the most meaningful chapters of my life—watching people grow stronger, healthier, and more confident together.
Today, as a mother of two, my perspective on wellness has evolved even further. Motherhood has reshaped my priorities and taught me to lean into flexibility over rigidity and progress over perfection. I believe self-care is essential, not selfish—and that wellness should support real life, not compete with it.
While I’ve come a long way, my journey is far from complete. I still experience gut flare-ups, stress, anxiety, and moments that remind me I don’t have it all figured out.
I’m a lifelong learner, walking this wellness journey alongside you—and that’s why I created Jess Be Well.
I’m excited to be on this journey with you!
