A Sunshine State of Mind
A curated mix of mood boosting rituals, supplements, and feel-good essentials to support your well-being.
1. Cryotherapy at Rest Fuel in Buckhead
Cryotherapy at Rest Fuel is one of my favorite ways to instantly reset my mood and energy. Just 2–3 minutes in the cold chamber stimulates circulation and supports the release of feel-good neurotransmitters like norepinephrine and dopamine, leaving me feeling clear, focused, and uplifted. I love how immediate the shift is — I walk in feeling tired or stressed and walk out energized, focused, and ready to take on the day. It’s not only great for muscle recovery and helping reduce puffiness, but it’s also such a powerful mental refresh.

2. Apple Watch Series 11
Spring is the perfect time to get outside and move—and if you don’t already have an Apple Watch, it’s especially worth it this time of year. Warmer weather, fresh air, and sunlight can do wonders for your nervous system and overall mood.
I use my watch to track my steps and stay accountable—without obsessing over numbers. It tracks everything: walks, runs, biking, swimming—whatever you enjoy.
Exercise is one of the fastest ways to boost endorphins and elevate your mood. Even 20 minutes—whether it’s strength training, walking, Pilates, or a quick sprint—can completely shift how you feel and support long-term brain health.
3. Nécessaire The Sex Gel
Intimacy, sex, and healthy relationships naturally boost oxytocin—the “bonding hormone”—and strengthen emotional connection, which can positively shift mood and reduce stress. I like this pH-balanced formula made without unnecessary additives, sulfates, or synthetic fragrances. I love that it’s smooth and not sticky, designed to support comfort and pleasure while being gentle on your body.
4. Alice Mushrooms Party Tricks
I love Alice Mushrooms—they make premium, functional mushroom-infused dark chocolate with 72% fair-trade, organic, vegan, dairy-free cacao. I just ordered and can’t wait to try their new Party Tricks blend. It combines nootropics and adaptogens (no psilocybin) to support key neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and GABA—helping boost mood and create a steady, feel-good kind of energy.
5. Natural Factors Stress‑Relax Saffron (Affron®)
Saffron is one of my favorite natural supports for mood. It promotes a calm, balanced feeling without overstimulation and helps take the edge off stress. Backed by clinical research, this supplement uses Affron®, one of the most studied saffron extracts at the 28–30 mg dose used in many studies. It’s a clean, trusted formula with no fillers and third-party testing.
I’ve been taking this alongside a very low-dose SRI, and it’s been a helpful combination for reducing stress and anxiety and helping me show up more fully in this season of life. I don’t plan to stay on an SRI forever, but it’s working for me right now. As always, talk with your healthcare provider before combining supplements and medications.
6. Healthy with a Side of Happy
I just pre-ordered this cookbook launching 4/28 and I’m so excited! Sabrina is the owner of Spring Cafe in Aspen—one of my favorite plant-based restaurants. She’s a mom of three and I love following her on IG and Substack for recipes, tips, and lifestyle inspiration.
Her new book features creative yet simple plant-based recipes that satisfy all ages and palates—nourishing your body while bringing joy to the table, because wellness should feel good, not restrictive. When you pre-order it, you get access to her live free cooking class on Sunday, April 12 at 4pm. Just upload your proof of purchase and sign up here.
7. Pure Encapsulations D3+ K2
When vitamin D levels are optimized, it can support a more stable, balanced mood and overall sense of well-being. This supplement pairs two essential nutrients to support immune health, bone strength, and cardiovascular function. Vitamin D3 helps maintain healthy levels—important not just for physical health, but also for mood regulation, especially if you’re low—while K2 works alongside it to help direct calcium into the bones. Always check your levels and talk with your provider before supplementing.
8. Activations App
An "active" alternative to traditional meditation, this mindset app offers short, guided audio sessions rooted in affirmations and visualization. I started this 14-day free trial last week and am loving it so far. I’ve been pairing it with Open, adding it into my morning and wind-down routine when I can. Press play while walking, getting ready, or settling in for the evening — it’s an easy, feel-good reset that keeps you grounded, clear, and intentional
9. The Five Minute Journal
A daily gratitude practice is such a simple, powerful way to boost mood, positivity, and even sleep. I love using the Five Minute Journal—it only takes a few minutes a day. Each morning, you jot down what you’re grateful for along with intentions and affirmations, and each evening you reflect on the good moments from your day. I’ve been using my Head Plan journal lately, but this is another great option to help build the habit.
If journaling feels like too much—just think of or write down three things you’re grateful for each morning or before bed. It may seem small, but over time it can help rewire your brain toward positivity and increase overall life satisfaction. Try it while you’re in the shower or brushing your teeth—easy, quick, and surprisingly powerful.
10. Thorne Deep Sleep Complex
I’ve been struggling with my sleep lately and know how important deep sleep is for my mood and overall wellness—especially when it comes to balancing serotonin and dopamine.
I just started taking Thorne Deep Sleep Complex as an alternative to my usual sleep supplement. It’s a melatonin-free blend of botanicals and amino acids designed to help you truly wind down and ease into more restful sleep. I take two capsules right before putting the kids to bed, and within about an hour, I’m ready to fall asleep.
