Spring Detox for Body & Mind

Warmer weather brings the urge to reset—not just our homes and clocks, but our bodies and minds too. Here are a few tools to support the body’s natural detox pathways and help us feel our best this spring.

1. Rest Feul Wellness in Buckhead

The sauna is one of my favorite wellness rituals—I would do it every day if I could. Since I don’t have an in-home sauna, Rest Fuel Wellness is my go-to spot for infrared sauna, cryotherapy, red light therapy, the salt room, and more. My mother-in-law introduced me to it, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Between Rest Fuel and the traditional sauna at my country club, I try to get in at least one 20–30 minute session per week.

Research has linked frequent sauna use (4–7x per week) with about a 40% lower risk of all-cause mortality—pretty incredible. Regular sessions may support cardiovascular health, muscle recovery, stress relief, and skin health. Sweating is also one of the body’s natural detox pathways and helps eliminate certain compounds through the skin, including toxins and heavy metals.

2. The Head Plan Journal

Journaling is like a detox for the brain. I just ordered this journal last week to help build a habit around it. Research shows journaling can be very beneficial for mental and emotional health. Journaling helps process thoughts and emotions, brain dumps clear mental clutter, and to-do lists help organize tasks and keep you on track—all three are great tools for a mental reset.

I like the idea of a guided wellness journal with prompts rather than staring at a blank notebook. This one includes SMART goal mapping, a vision board, morning and evening ritual builders, and weekly and monthly reflections. I’ll report back on how it goes—and whether I actually stick with it.

3. goop Beauty Scalp Scrub Shampoo

A detox shampoo with a a cult following—and worth every penny in my opinion. My husband would agree…he’s used up most of mine. Maybe that’s the secret to his thick hair? It’s made with exfoliating, mineral-rich Himalayan pink salt, cold-pressed moringa oil, and pure unfiltered rosehip oil to help cleanse and remove buildup from the hair and scalp.

4. GOLDFADEN MD Facial Detox Mask

A detox face mask I love. I’ve been dealing with some on-and-off acne since getting an IUD last year, and this has been a helpful tool. It contains ingredients like zinc oxide, sulfur, salicylic acid, and grapefruit to help cleanse pores and clear congestion. You can also use it as a spot treatment to dry out individual breakouts.

Because it can be a little drying, follow it with a good moisturizer to support the skin barrier and keep skin balanced. It also comes in a travel size on Amazon if you want to try it before committing to the full size.

5. Vida-Flo Buckhead

Vida-Flo in Buckhead is my go-to for IV hydration therapy — a supportive tool for delivering fluids, electrolytes, vitamins, and antioxidants directly into the bloodstream through an IV drip. Because it bypasses the digestive system, nutrients can be absorbed more quickly and effectively compared to oral supplements.

There's debate about whether or not liposomal glutathione supplements are absorbed by the body. Glutathione IV therapy delivers this "master antioxidant" directly into the bloodstream to maximize detoxification, enhance immune function and brighten skin. The IV delivery ensures 100% bioavailability, whereas many pills have low absorption due to breakdown by digestive enzymes.

6. goop Beauty Dry Brush

This is the dry brush I use before showering. I brush upward toward the heart for a couple of minutes, and it leaves my skin smoother and my body feeling energized. I like that it has a handle—unlike most round brushes—and the bristles are the perfect texture.

Dry brushing gently exfoliates dead skin cells, improves skin texture, and helps moisturizers absorb better, while also stimulating circulation and supporting lymphatic flow.

7. Formah Body Sculpting

My go-to for lymphatic drainage massage in Buckhead. Lymphatic drainage massage uses gentle, rhythmic movements to encourage lymph flow and help the body move fluid and waste out of tissues. It can be especially helpful for swelling, sluggish circulation, post-surgical recovery, and general detox support.

Formah also offers deeper, more intensive treatments using specialized machines, but so far, I’ve only done their lymphatic massages. I also love that they only use natural products like coconut oil on my skin.

8. Global Healing Oxy-Powder

Our bowels play an important role in the body’s natural detoxification processes, eliminating waste and toxins from the body. I recently discovered and am loving this non-laxative, non-habit-forming bowel cleanse made with ozone-oxygenated magnesium and citric acid, which work together to support healthy digestion and regularity. When the body is stuck in a “fight-or-flight” state, digestion can slow down. Magnesium helps relax the body and support normal bowel function.

9. The Republic of Tea - Orange Ginger Mint Herbal Tea

Instead of “detox teas,” I prefer simple herbal teas that support digestion and hydration. This is one of my favorite ginger teas I love to drink (when I don't have time to make my own with fresh ginger and lemon) to support digestion and hydration. It has a very light citrus flavor with a slight ginger kick. Their tea bags are made from unbleached paper with no plastics. Ginger, mint, fennel and chamomile are my favorites herbs for supporting digestion.

10. JBW Detox Soup

The best “detox” approach isn’t restrictive cleanses—it’s supporting your liver and kidneys with hydration and nutrient-dense, fiber-rich foods like this soup. This Jess Be Well Detox Soup recipe (linked from my Instagram account @JessBeWell ) is packed with cruciferous vegetables (like kale and broccoli), anti-inflammatory spices (turmeric, ginger, cayenne), and mineral-rich bone broth and Miso to support digestion and the body’s natural detox pathways. Nori adds an extra nutrient boost, providing vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K, along with niacin and folic acid.
