Spring Break, Done Well.

Traveling for Spring Break? I've got you covered. Beyond my everyday basics, here are the wellness travel essentials I’m packing for our family trip to the Bahamas— the little things that help us feel our best, protect our skin, and fully enjoy every minute in the sun.

1. Bask Sunscreen SPF 30 Mineral

A clean, non-aerosol spray sunscreen for the kids and adults! There is zero white cast—very hard to find in a mineral sunscreen. It blends in like a lightweight moisturizer and leaves a healthy sheen that isn’t greasy or heavy. It's powered by non-nano zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for broad-spectrum protection. I just wish they made a higher 50 SPF and fragrance free option.

2. GoodOnya Organic Hydration Electrolyte

Another clean electrolyte I love. Made with organic lemon juice and coconut water powders, plus Himalayan pink salt instead of refined sodium chloride used in many conventional electrolyte mixes. No added sugar or artificial ingredients—just clean hydration, lightly sweetened with organic stevia leaf.

3. Hiya Kids Hydration with Electrolytes

Getting my son to drink enough water can be a struggle. When we're traveling on an airplane and planning to be out in the sun all day, I pack him electrolytes to stay hydrated too. This is a delicious clean, hydration powder made with real fruit. We have a few other supplements from this brand that we also love.

4. Barefaced Tinted Protection SPF 50+

When I’m planning to be out in the sun all day, I want the highest SPF on my face. This is a clean SPF 50 tinted moisturizer with the prettiest glow—from a brand I love and trust. This is a universal tint that looks good on everyone— smooth, full coverage with a radiant finish. Made without parabens, fragrance, phthalates, sulfates, artificial dyes, or mineral oils.

5. Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic

A high-quality probiotic is another gut-support essential I always travel with. This is one of my favorites and a constant in my rotation. I take a probiotic daily—not just when I travel—to support digestion, gut health, immune function, bloating, and regularity. This one is backed by clinical research, contains 24 well-studied strains, and uses a patented delivery system designed to help the probiotics survive stomach acid and reach the colon. It also includes a prebiotic component to help nourish and support the growth of beneficial bacteria.

6. Bioptimizers Masszymes

I like to take digestive enzymes before larger or out-of-routine meals to support my digestion and reduce bloating. This one delivers 320,000 units of enzymes per capsule to help break down proteins, carbs, and fats — supporting smoother digestion and better nutrient absorption.

7. Beekeeper's Naturals Propolis Liposomal Vitamin C

My multivitamin contains very little Vitamin C so I supplement with this when I want extra immune support — especially when flying or spending time in big crowds. Check your current supplement stack before adding additional Vitamin C to avoid overdoing it.

This formula contains 1,000mg of Vitamin C and 100mg of propolis—a resin-like substance produced by bees, rich in beneficial plant compounds like polyphenols and flavonoids that provide antioxidant support. Unlike most Vitamin C supplements, this one uses liposomal technology to maximize absorption. The packets are easy to toss in your purse or carry-on. I don't love the taste — but it’s quick to take and easy to chase with whatever you’re drinking.

8. Vital Protein Collagen

These single-serve packets from Vital Proteins are easy to toss in your purse or travel bag without taking up space. I take collagen daily to support healthy skin, joints, hair, and nails — plus it’s an easy way to add a little extra protein into my routine. Protein helps support satiety and steady energy—especially while traveling.

When buying collagen you want to look for "hydrolyzed collagen peptides" for maximum absorption, types I and III, and choose a clean formula sourced from grass-fed or wild-caught fish with minimal fillers.

9. Necessaire The Body Lotion

My go-to body moisturizer that’s perfect for after-sun care! It's a clean, multi-peptide daily lotion that helps moisturize, firm, and strengthen skin with 48 hour-continuous moisture. The formula is fast-absorbing. and non-greasy—made with niacinamide and plant oils rich in vitamins C + E and omegas 6 + 9 to nourish and support barrier strength. No fragrances, silicones, parabens, phthalates or PEGs.

10. NOW Foods Supplements, NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) 1,000 mg

I’m not expecting a hangover cure or a free pass to overdo it — but I am taking this NAC supplement with me this week as added support for my liver while I plan to enjoy a few cocktails. NAC provides cysteine, which helps the body produce glutathione — one of the liver’s primary antioxidants involved in processing alcohol byproducts like acetaldehyde. Although oral absorption is relatively low, research suggests NAC supplements may help increase glutathione levels and overall antioxidant defense.

That said, moderation, hydration, nourishing food, and quality sleep matter far more than any supplement. No pill can prevent liver damage or “detox” alcohol on its own. Drinking less — or choosing not to drink at all — will always be the most effective way to support your liver.

11. Mindful Nutrition Mindful Cocoa Mix

For years, I’ve been drinking a healthy hot chocolate—almost like a warm tea—as part of my nighttime ritual. I rotate between a few favorites and sometimes add in fiber or Miralax for regularity. This one is a clean option that also doubles as a melatonin-based sleep support. I don’t take melatonin nightly, but I’ll use it occasionally when I’m traveling, feeling anxious, or just need a little extra help winding down.

12. Rising Tide Organic Mushroom Superfood Creamer

I don’t tolerate dairy, so I’m packing this coconut milk powder creamer for our trip — since I’m unlikely to find a clean almond or coconut milk option at the store there. It’s an unsweetened coconut milk powder made with MCT oil and lion’s mane for daily focus and steady fuel. It mixes smoothly into both hot and cold drinks, and for a frothy finish, I may pack my frother wand.
