PM Beauty Routine
A collection of the products, beauty tools, and wellness treatments that have earned a place in my nighttime beauty routine.
After brushing my teeth, flossing is the next step in my nighttime routine before bed to remove any remaining food and plaque from between my teeth. I usually skip flossing in the morning unless I need it after breakfast.
Many conventional flosses are made with PTFE (a type of PFAS, often called "forever chemicals"), so I switched to this plastic-free option infused with hydroxyapatite to help support enamel while effectively cleaning between my teeth. It's a simple swap that leaves my smile feeling clean without ingredients I personally prefer to avoid.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water
The first step in my nighttime skincare routine is using Bioderma's micellar water to remove my makeup and sunscreen before following with a second cleanse using my face wash. This is a gentle, fragrance-free micellar water that effectively removes makeup, sunscreen, and impurities without stripping or irritating skin.
Goop Beauty Daily Detox Foaming Cleanser
Next to iS Clinical, this is one of my personal favorite facial cleansers. It creates a rich, gentle lather that deeply cleanses without leaving my skin feeling tight or dry.
If your skin is normal, combination, oily, or moderately dry, this is an excellent everyday option. If your skin is very dry or your skin barrier is compromised, you may prefer a more hydrating, cream-based cleanser.
After cleansing and my red light mask (if using), I use these toning pads a few nights per week—especially after wearing makeup. Formulated with AHAs and BHAs, they gently exfoliate, help unclog pores, improve skin texture, and fade the appearance of dark spots over time.
I typically use these in the evening and my Uncommon Beauty Koji Pads in the morning. Since these are my stronger exfoliating step, I usually skip my Laser Serum on the nights I use them to avoid layering too many active ingredients and give my skin a chance to reset.
One of my favorite at-home skincare treatments, which I do about every two weeks. I always dermaplane at night after I wash my face to minimize the chance of bacteria from makeup, brushes, or daily activities irritating freshly exfoliated skin. The design, weight, and quality of this razor are so much better than the disposable Twinkle razors I used to use.
Barefaced Perfectionist Facial Shave Oil
The Facial Razor paired with Barefaced’s Perfectionist Facial Shave Oil is one of my favorite combinations for at-home dermaplaning. The oil helps the razor glide smoothly while protecting my skin. Together, they remove peach fuzz, gently exfoliate dead skin cells, and leave my complexion looking smoother, brighter, and more radiant. I love that this oil nourishes my skin without causing breakouts.
Lenox and Sixteenth Laser Serum
Truly like a laser treatment in a bottle. This is one of the most impressive skincare products I've tried in the past year. It has noticeably improved my skin's texture and I started to see a difference within about a week of using it. I alternate between this and my Barefaced RetinAL below and always follow with a moisturizer.
If I could only recommend one skincare product from in my nighttime routine, this would be it.

A staple in my nighttime routine that I alternate with my Laser Serum. RetinAL Skin uses retinaldehyde, a highly effective vitamin A derivative that helps improve the appearance of fine lines, uneven texture, acne, and discoloration while supporting collagen production.
The final step in my evening skincare routine. This lightweight, yet rich and nourishing moisturizer delivers lasting hydration without feeling heavy and layers well over active ingredients like retinal and exfoliating acids. Formulated with peptides, ceramides, niacinamide, and other hydrating ingredients, it helps support a healthy skin barrier while keeping my skin hydrated and nourished overnight.
Dr. Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro
One of my favorite beauty investments. This FDA-cleared LED mask combines red and blue light therapy to help support collagen production, improve skin tone, reduce breakouts, and promote healthier-looking skin in just three minutes a day. I usually use this after washing my face and before I do the rest of my skincare routine.
LED light penetrates best when there's nothing on the skin that could potentially scatter or block the light. Following the treatment, I do the rest of my skincare routine and always finish with a moisturizer to support hydration and repair.
If I have a little extra time to myself in the evening, I love sitting in front of my red light panel while winding down and stretching.
Red and near-infrared light therapy has been studied for its potential to support skin health, recovery, and overall wellness. It's a relaxing ritual that helps me slow down at the end of the day while giving my skin a little extra love.
